The 2013 Sandy

It's b-a-c-k!
The 2013 Sandy writing contest is back, and I'm so thrilled to announce that this year--for the first time in six years, I've got help running it.  My gratitude goes to Lori Dixon, Martha Catt, and Ann Gordon, for agreeing to learn the ropes and help run the 2013 Sandy.  Everybody, please be nice to these ladies and patient with us as we learn to work together.

The deadline is midnight, February 10, 2013.  Details on the website at  Tell all your writer friends and we look forward to lots of stellar submissions to impress our judges.

Also, as a special treat for our Children/YA authors, our judge, Christopher Trimmer-Sr. Editor at Disney Hyperion, will be attending the June 21-23, 2013 Crested Butte Writers Conference.

So you can get to know the final judges a little better, I'll post interviews with them in the coming weeks.  The judges are too busy to check in on the blog, however they were kind enough to give us a little insight into what they are looking for through these interviews.

Take a look at our terrific Final round judges:

T. what a stellar line up you've created.

I owe the Sandy everything, folks. This is where Walk Away Joe won first place and transitioned into The Past Came Hunting.

Theresa you and Crested Butte Writers rock!
