The Sandy--The Writers version of The Voice

Many of you know that I've  coordinated The Sandy for the past 8 years.  I've come to see The Sandy as a writers' version of "The Voice", only instead of Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Shakira and Usher, we have over 60 authors judges who help run those first "Blind Auditions."

It's our goal to discover talented writers across a wide variety of fiction genres, just as The Voice finds talented singing artists across all music genres.  We whittle away the entrants to finalists, then through judges' comments, we help them refine their skills. The finalists get a chance to consider 1st round judges' comments and revise their entries, before sending them off to the final judges.

Then after we've done our best to help our finalists, instead of opening the judging up to the public to vote on winners, we send their work to industry professionals who have the power to jumpstart or reinvigorate our finalists' careers.

Take a look at these fantastic editors and agents, just waiting to be impressed by your stories. Are you ready to put your best effort forward to try and get our judges to turn their chairs and champion your story?

Deadline is Midnight Feb 10, 2014
