How To Create A Rockin’ Web Series From Your Romance Novel by Devin Mills and Scriptscene

Once again Scriptscene brings you a class you don't want to miss.

How To Create A Rockin’ Web Series From Your
Romance Novel by Devin Mills
May 19- June 8

In this fun, informative workshop you’ll learn how people are writing and turning their stories into rockin’ web series, and even making money off them.  You’ll also learn how to get a piece of this exciting, growing industry for yourself should you decide to be a part of it.

The course will be held over three weeks – every week you’ll be given lots of information about the web industry and on how to create your series including not but limited to:

  • The history of the web series industry and who some of the players are
  • Which series to watch right now
  • What makes a winning (and not so winning) web series
  • How to write the perfect web series scene
  • Secrets on preparing your scene to shoot
  • Proven web series themes that work
  • Exciting ways to shoot your web series on a smart phone
  • Which programs to use to edit your web series
  • And much more!

Each week you’ll also be given fun exercises/assignments that’ll give you more knowledge about the industry and help you get ready to shoot your own series.

Optional — The final week you’ll actually shoot your scene (this is an optional exercise and not mandatory) – then upload them to a selected site.  All (shot) scenes will be judged by a panel of top web series people and the final three scenes will be awarded swag from “Dating In The Middle Ages,” merchandise as well as the writers will be promoted on all Devin’s Social Media outlets.  (and there are many!)

When the workshop is finished you’ll have an understanding of the industry and how to write, film, and start marketing your very own web series.
